Starting Big Adventures
From the day we are born, we start learning new things and whilst every child grows and learns at their own speed, it’s never too early to start practicing new skills that will help your child start reception more easily and with confidence.
Working on these skills will help your child feel ready and happy about starting Reception. If your child goes to nursery, pre-school, or spends time with a childminder, they will help your child get ready for school too.
There are lots of simple things you can do at home to help your child feel confident and independent. This will make them feel prepared both in their feelings and in what they can do, when school begins.
