Baby Beginnings 

Want to give your child the best start in life? 

Baby Beginnings is a free, friendly group for parents and carers with children aged 0–1 year. 

Each session is full of fun activities, songs, and stories relating to different topics and themes to help your child learn and grow. You can also meet other local parents and carers and spend time together sharing your experiences and ideas. 

We give advice about your baby’s health and development. We help you understand your baby’s signals and see how they are growing and learning.  We also help you feel confident as your baby’s first teacher and share ideas of what you can do at home. 

Booking is not always needed, just come along to a weekly session.  (N.B Some sites may restrict numbers attending due to size of the room and you may need to book so please check your local timetable for times and locations.) 

We also offer helpful advice and ideas on: 

• Becoming a parent 

• Understanding crying & baby cues, 

• Communicating with each other. 

• Understanding sleep 

• Early literacy and mark making 

• Introducing Solid Food and oral hygiene 

• The importance of play 

• Making sense of sound 

• Early maths skills 

• Babies on the move,   

• Minor childhood illnesses 

• Celebrating learning and milestones/child development 

• Babies feeling good about themselves
