Relationships and Domestic Abuse
Healthy and Unhealthy Relationships
In a safe relationship you should be able to be yourself, feel happy, respected, trusted, and valued. You should be listened to and allowed to have opinions that differ from your partner. You should be able to make choices about how you dress and who you see. Conflict in relationships may sometimes happen but you should both feel that you can respectfully work things out. Controlling or violent behaviour is not OK.
Childline gives advice and support about healthy relationships. The advice is relatable to adults and teens. Please find the link below.
Adult Relationships
We are all formed by experiences we have had in our lives and these experiences can affect how we engage in relationships in adulthood.
