All-Age Autism Outreach Service

The All Age Autism Outreach Service (AOS) specialises in providing support for autistic individuals, and professional consultation and training for those working alongside them. The team offer person-centred support for autistic individuals and those awaiting an autism assessment. We are a multi-disciplinary team which includes members whose personal experience of living with autism enables them to offer Peer Support.

What we do:

  • Meet with the individuals, and where appropriate their family, to complete a person-centred assessment and develop a co-produced personalised plan to ensure support is tailored to an individual’s needs.
  • Intervention and support offered between 3-12 months.
  • Core operating service 8am – 8pm Monday to Saturday.
  • Consultation for professionals requiring support to adapt the delivery of their work to support autistic individuals.
  • Champion the insight and strengths of people with lived experience and their families.
  • Support and help services to develop an awareness, and acceptance, of the needs of autistic people.

Who can be referred:

  • Requests for support can be made for autistic individuals and those on the neurodevelopmental pathway awaiting assessment/diagnosis.
  • The service is an all age offer across Southend, Essex, and Thurrock

The service is unable to offer support to individuals with a learning disability whose needs can be best met by another service.
