Chelmsford West Family Hub Delivery Site

Chelmsford West Family Hub Delivery Site is a warm and friendly centre for families. We welcome children, young people and their families and provide access to support and services to help children and families achieve the best start in life.

Our wide range of services include health drop-in sessions for families with children 0-8, parent coffee mornings where parents come to relax, meet other parents and share advice, and services that help with healthy feeding, behaviour management, sleep routines, potty training and many more.

We want parents and carers to have access to services and networks which will empower and help them support their family.

Chelmsford West Family Hub Delivery Site is part of the Chelmsford Central Family Hub, which serves all of Chelmsford.

Opening hours:

Mondays- Closed

Tuesdays- 9am-5pm

Wednesdays- 1pm-5pm

Thursdays- Closed

Fridays- 9am-5pm

Sept 2020: Update

*** Return of weighing sessions for infants and children under 4 years of age at some Family Hubs and delivery sites across Essex ***

Essex Child and Family Wellbeing Service are excited to announce the reopening of some of our Family Hubs and delivery sites during the month of September 2020. We will be offering Pre-bookable, private, single family appointments to have your infant or child weighed in a COVID-secure and safe environment.

For those living in the Chelmsford District, we will have pre-bookable appointments available for you to weigh your baby/child at our:

Location: Chelmsford West Family Hub Delivery Site, Dixon Avenue, Chelmsford, CM1 2AQ 

Days: Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays

Starting: from 7^th  September 2020.

Please note there will be a maximum number of 20 minute appointments available each day and we expect this service to be very busy. Please book you and your child in as soon as the first opportunity is available. To book, please call us on 0300 247 0014  9am-5pm Monday-Friday.

If you have a specific health concern regarding your child’s weight, please ask to be put through to the Duty Health Visitor when you call.

Please note: Only people who have called and pre-booked a slot to weigh their baby/child will be permitted onto the Site, so please ensure you call and book on 0300 247 0014
